The XetaAI Backtester allows you to test and evaluate your trading strategies directly within TradingView before applying them to live markets. Follow these simple steps to add the backtester to your chart.
Before you can use the XetaAI Backtester, ensure that you have an active subscription with XetaAI. You can subscribe via the XetaAI website at .
Log in to your TradingView account.
Navigate to the chart where you want to add the XetaAI Backtester.
Click on the Indicators button located at the top of your TradingView chart (the "fx" icon).
In the search bar, type in "XetaAI Backtester".
Select the XetaAI Backtester from the list of available indicators.
After adding the backtester, you can access its settings by clicking on the Settings icon (gear symbol) next to the backtester name in the Indicators panel.
Customize the backtester settings according to your strategy and preferences. You can adjust parameters such as risk profiles, position sizes, and more.
Create or select your strategy on TradingView (whether it's based on indicators, signals, or manual entries).
Once your strategy is applied to the chart, the XetaAI Backtester will simulate the trades based on historical market data.
The results will appear directly on the chart, showing metrics such as win rate, risk/reward ratio, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
After running the backtest, review the performance metrics displayed on your chart.
You can also see detailed statistics such as drawdowns, trade frequency, and profitability, which will help you evaluate how well your strategy would have performed in the past.
Based on the backtest results, you can adjust your strategy to improve its performance.
Make use of the XetaAI Backtester’s optimization tools to tweak parameters and fine-tune the strategy for better results before live trading.
Once you're satisfied with the backtest results, you can use the Command Hub to send signals to the XetaAI Bot Manager for automated execution.
Follow the signal setup instructions provided in the previous section to link your strategy with the XetaAI Bot Manager.
